How the scoring works
Every night, SwingCycle runs a multi-stage pipeline across a broad universe of U.S. stocks. The first pass filters for basic liquidity: minimum average volume, minimum price, and sufficient trading history. Penny stocks and illiquid names are removed before any analysis begins, so nothing on the final list is something you cannot actually trade.
The remaining stocks go through a full swing analysis. The scanner detects the current swing structure, measures where each stock sits in its cycle relative to its own history, evaluates volume behavior, and checks for confirming or conflicting signals. Every stock receives a numeric score and a descriptive label.
What the Swing Score factors in
Consistency of recent swing behavior. Magnitude of the current move relative to history. Whether volume is confirming or diverging from price. Timing within the cycle. A stock in the early stages of an upswing with rising volume scores higher than one that is extended with fading volume.
What it is not
Not a buy signal. Not a price prediction. A ranking tool that puts the highest-conviction setups at the top of your scan so you spend your time on the best opportunities.
Cadence
Results are cached and refreshed daily. When you open the scanner in the morning, the latest batch is already there. No waiting for a scan to finish.
